Before Applying Kinesiology Tape: Start by ensuring that the skin in the intended area is clean and dry. Use a mild soap and water to clean the skin thoroughly, then pat it dry with a clean towel. Avoid Lotions, Oils, and Gels. These substances can hinder the tape's adhesive properties.

Applying Kinesiology Tape:

  1. Measure and Cut: With pre-cut Kinesiology Tape, you can skip the measuring and cutting steps, making the application process even more convenient.
  2. Apply with Proper Tension: Gently apply the Kinesiology Tape to the targeted area, being mindful not to stretch it excessively. Apply with the desired tension, which may vary depending on the purpose of taping (e.g., support, pain relief).
  3. Smooth and Activate: After applying the tape, gently rub your hand or fingers along its surface to activate the adhesive. Make sure the tape adheres securely to the skin.

Removing Kinesiology Tape:

  1. Prepare for Removal: To remove the tape, prepare the area by having mineral oil, baby oil, or adhesive remover on hand. These substances help dissolve the adhesive and make tape removal more comfortable.
  2. Wet the Tape: Before removing the tape, you can wet it with a few drops of water. This can help further loosen the adhesive and make the removal process smoother.
  3. Slowly Peel Off: Begin by slowly and gently peeling off one end of the tape, moving in the direction of hair growth if hair is present. Use one hand to hold the skin taut while using the other hand to peel off the tape gradually. Take your time to avoid skin irritation.
  4. Apply Oil: If you encounter resistance or discomfort during removal, apply a small amount of mineral oil, baby oil, or adhesive remover to the exposed edge of the tape. Allow it to penetrate for a moment to further loosen the adhesive.
  5. Continue Removal: Continue to peel off the tape carefully, applying more oil or adhesive remover as needed. Take care not to rip off the tape abruptly, as this can cause skin irritation.
